Birthing Beautiful Communities (BBC), a 501c3 non-profit, is a village of birth workers or doulas who primarily provide social support to pregnant women at highest risk for infant mortality during the perinatal period. BBC was established in 2014 with a mission to address and improve the systemic and community structures that lead to poor birth outcomes through culture, education, advocacy, support, and engagement (CEASE). Holistically supports pregnant women to deliver full-term healthy babies, and in achieving equitable birth outcomes through seven direct service programs. Its free neighborhood-based services include childbirth and parenting education with workshops and classes on breastfeeding, stress relief, bonding with baby, co-parenting, and healthy eating. It also offers perinatal support training to provide support for labor, delivery and postpartum health including depression, and family, life, and personal goal planning.
BBC is currently seeking an Individual Giving Manager who will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors at all levels, particularly at $1,000 and above. The Individual Giving Manager will also manage the annual fund campaign, individual donor events and communication, and assist in the creation and management of a giving society. This role will be critical in the expansion of philanthropic support to Birthing Beautiful Communities.

Essential Job Duties:
● Participates with the Chief Advancement Officer in the overall planning, implementation, and evaluation of fundraising campaigns, programs, and administrative processes.
● Implements comprehensive fundraising strategies to increase philanthropic support from individuals, including, but not limited to, community members, employees, family foundations, fraternal organizations, grateful clients, third party fundraisers, Board members, etc.
● Manages a portfolio of donors and prospects for cultivation and solicitation with the demonstrated ability and/or capacity to give $1,000+.
● Develops a giving society for major donors and refines the monthly donor giving program.
● Manages the planning and execution of the annual fund program, including direct mail letters, e-appeals, and social media fundraising.
● Assist in the execution of at least four donor cultivation and stewardship events throughout the year.
● Prepares donor-related communications, including update emails, reports, presentations, postings, etc.
● Analyzes donor data in Donor Perfect including tracking and reporting on acquisition, upgrade, and retention rates to inform fundraising strategies.
● Participates in the planning and execution of major fundraising events.
● Responds to donor requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
● Helps to foster an understanding of philanthropy at BBC.
● Displays a positive attitude, shows concern for people and community, demonstrates presence, self-confidence, common sense, and good listening ability.
● Represents BBC with clients, donors, and business partners with respect, polish, and integrity.
● Maintains confidentiality of clinical and sensitive administrative information.
● Performs other related duties as requested.

Required Education and Experience:
● A bachelor’s degree is required.
● Minimum of two (2) years of experience in fundraising.
